Nicole Shaver is West Monroe Partners’ director of accounting. She has more than a dozen years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including a decade of supporting West Monroe Partners during a period of continuous growth both in revenue and scope and complexity of operations.
Since joining West Monroe Partners in 2007 as a staff accountant, Nicole has worked with the chief financial officer and other firm leaders to navigate increasing business complexity and build a robust accounting function, team, and processes. Today, she oversees the firm’s core accounting, financial reporting, and revenue forecasting processes. She also has responsibility for West Monroe’s annual financial planning processes, working with firm, office, and practice leaders to develop and align strategic plans. In addition, she is responsible for several key financial and business systems and guides continuous improvement of reporting capabilities through development of automation capabilities, executive dashboards, and other financial management tools.
In conjunction with West Monroe Partners’ 2012 conversion to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) trust, Nicole facilitated the firm’s transition to full audit procedures. She also has supported operational, financial, and systems integration for four major acquisitions since 2013, as well as the divestiture of the firm’s former Canadian operations.
Beyond her finance and accounting responsibilities, Nicole plays an active role in promoting a strong culture within West Monroe’s Shared Services functions, which include marketing, human resources, real estate, technology and other personnel across 11 offices.
Prior to joining West Monroe Partners, Nicole spent several years as a financial analyst with Baxter Healthcare and Novamed.
Nicole earned Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Science degrees in Accounting from Loyola University Chicago. She is a Certified Public Accountant.
