Srini Rao is a senior architect in West Monroe Partners’ Technology practice. He has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology (IT) industry, helping a wide array of companies align business and technology in order to operate in a more efficient and cost-effective manner.
With deep technology expertise and broad business experience gained over the course of his career, Srini Rao is uniquely suited to bring innovation and transformation to his clients. Srini understands how digital business models and emerging technologies are disrupting traditional approaches to enterprise architecture and how to apply digital strategy and reference architecture that encompasses DevOps, microservices, Agile transformation, and cloud technology to enable business goals.
Srini has experience in all phases of the project life cycle, from analysis and design through production maintenance and operations support. His areas of expertise include IT strategy, enterprise architecture, IT governance, technology road maps, application architectures for the cloud, application management, and application portfolio rationalization. He has industry experience that spans the financial services, retail, insurance, telecommunications, media, energy and utilities, life sciences, and healthcare sectors, as well as strong background in managing offshore teams as a project and delivery manager.
Srini joined West Monroe Partners in 2017 from TEKsystems, for which he was a senior practice manager responsible for building and developing the Enterprise and Solution Architecture practice. Previously, he was a practice manager with Tata Consultancy Services in Chicago for nearly eight years, providing architecture solutions for clients in an array of industries. He also has held various architecture and development roles with Adeptia, Sapient, Dearborn Financial Services and other organizations.
Srini earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in control systems from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
