Dan Mackowiak is a senior manager in West Monroe's Security and Infrastructure practice, based in Los Angeles. He has more than a dozen years of experience applying technology skills in network architecture, IT strategy, and program and vendor management to address clients’ business needs.


Dan Mackowiak combines deep practical knowledge of technical infrastructure, network architecture, network design, and cyber security with business acumen and program management expertise to deliver successful projects. He has a strong track record for leading teams of business consultants and technical specialists to design, configure, deploy, and migrate enterprise networks to achieve advantage and other business goals.

Dan’s experience spans an array of business issues and industries, including capital markets and trading, private equity, energy and utilities, and other sectors. In particular, he has conducted IT and operational due diligence assessments across a broad range of industries and supported carve-out projects for several leading private equity firms. In addition, he has extensive recent utility experience addressing emerging business requirements, including distribution automation deployment, smart-grid communication deployment, and cyber security planning.

Dan earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a Computer Technology major and concentration in Networking from Purdue University. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
