Anthony Chambers is a director in West Monroe Partners’ Life Sciences practice, based in Chicago. He has more than 15 years of business advisory and technology experience in the life sciences and other industries, with significant consulting experience in research and development IT and laboratory information systems.
Part of West Monroe’s fast-growing Life Sciences practice, Anthony Chambers applies broad strategic and transformation experience to help clients align technology, people, and processes with their corporate missions. In particular, his deep consulting experience with life sciences research and development and laboratory functions extends West Monroe’s capabilities for serving clients in these areas.
Through his work with leading pharmaceutical companies, Anthony has developed deep industry-specific technical expertise in information management strategy and planning, enterprise information architecture, distributed systems, and IT operations. At the same time, he is skilled in key business disciplines that drive successful transformation, including process optimization and operational effectiveness, customer relationship management, financial management, program management, and change management. With that strong blend of business experience and technical acumen, he is adept at brokering communication, collaboration, and alignment between business and IT functions and guiding complex, global transformation.
Anthony joined West Monroe Partners in 2016 from Maven Wave Partners, a business advisory and cloud-computing consultancy for which he was a partner and Life Sciences practice lead. Among other leadership responsibilities, he managed multiple international research and development IT programs and ran the R&D IT program management and business office for a prominent global pharmaceutical company.
Previously, Anthony was a senior principal and IT Strategy service line lead with the Chicago branch of Daugherty Business Solutions, an IT management consultancy. He also spent five years with Diamond Management and Technology Consultants (acquired by PwC), advancing to the level of principal. His clients included leading global financial services, insurance, and consumer packaged goods organizations.
Anthony received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from DePaul University and will earn a Master of Science degree in Predictive Analytics from Northwestern University in 2017.
