Lou Brothers is a senior manager in West Monroe Partners’ Insurance practice, based in New York City. He has more than 13 years of business consulting and deep technology experience in the insurance and financial services industries.


Lou Brothers collaborates with senior insurance executives to pursue financial and operational improvement opportunities and to drive complex business transformation through technology-enabled solutions. Highly experienced in all facets of insurance operations, he has led revenue-enhancing growth strategies, merger and acquisition integration programs, operational efficiency improvements, and business process outsourcing initiatives for an array of multinational insurance enterprises. He applies a balanced set of business consulting and technology skills to lead complex programs in the areas of system implementation; analysis and reengineering of underwriting, claims, financial consolidation, risk management, and other processes; change management; and management reporting. 

Lou joined West Monroe Partners in January 2015 from WeiserMazars LLP, an accounting, tax, and advisory consultancy, where he was a New York-based senior manager and consultant to leading global insurance organizations. Previously, he was a manager with LECG, a global litigation; economics; consulting and business advisory expert services firm. In addition to extensive experience in the insurance sector, he has worked with clients in the commercial banking and financial services industry.

Lou’s previous experience includes analyst roles with Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia and as a senior consultant with SMART Business Advisory and Consulting in Devon, Pennsylvania. He began his career as a laboratory process validation consultant with Merck & Company.

Lou earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science & Information Systems from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration degree with specializations in Leadership and Strategy from the Stern School of Business, New York University.
