Tom previously spent several years as a consultant with Saltmine, a Seattle-based internet consulting firm, and with Arthur Andersen in Chicago. His consulting experience spanned multiple industries, including retail banking, property and casualty insurance, capital markets, and professional services.

Tom honed his consulting and technology skills as a member of Arthur Andersen's Strategic Technologies leadership team, for which he conceptualized and presented alternative strategic directions for the firm's Business Consulting practice.
