Tom Bolger is West Monroe Partners’ senior managing director of strategic growth, responsible for geographic expansion, mergers and acquisitions, and strategy for the firm. An accomplished business leader and consultant with a strong foundation of technology experience, Tom founded West Monroe’s Seattle office in 2005 and has grown the firm’s West Coast presence to more than 100 consultants. He continues to lead the West Coast offices in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, overseeing their delivery of innovative solutions that address clients’ key issues.

Over the course of his career, Tom has spent considerable time on both sides of the client/consultant relationship, providing him with a unique mix of business acumen and technology expertise and a distinctive perspective on delivering solutions that address clients’ critical business needs in a timely fashion.

With West Monroe Partners, Tom has led multidisciplinary teams of business consultants and deep technologists to deliver many transformational projects in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, digital transformation, payments, and the alignment of technology with strategic objectives. His clients have included private institutions with under $150 million in assets up to publicly traded firms with revenue in excess of $200 billion. 

In addition to overseeing the West Coast offices, Tom has led the development of the firm’s strategy as well as a number of acquisitions West Monroe has completed in the past several years. The organic growth strategy combined with targeted acquisitions has contributed to the firm’s consistent growth in excess of 20 percent annually.

Before joining West Monroe Partners in 2005, Tom held several key positions with Washington Mutual, including business unit manager for the company's debit card business and vice president/manager for online banking. Washington Mutual was the third-largest debit card issuer in the United States, with more than 11 million customers. There, he managed several large projects, including the launch of company's online retail and commercial banking platforms and one of the largest debit card conversions in U.S. banking history.

Tom previously spent several years as a consultant with Saltmine, a Seattle-based internet consulting firm, and with Arthur Andersen in Chicago. His consulting experience spanned multiple industries, including retail banking, property and casualty insurance, capital markets, and professional services. 

Tom honed his consulting and technology skills as a member of Arthur Andersen's Strategic Technologies leadership team, for which he conceptualized and presented alternative strategic directions for the firm's Business Consulting practice. He also assisted in creating the firm's successful electronic commerce practice.

Tom graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. An active member of the community, he is on the board of the Student Conservation Association and has led numerous pro-bono efforts for Seattle-area and national non-profits. When he isn’t working, he and his family enjoy the Pacific Northwest’s ample outdoor recreational opportunities.
