As health insurers prepare for strategic growth, a number of factors are creating uncertainty around the relationship between health plans and dental products. West Monroe launched the market feedback initiative aimed at dental and medical payers in August. At the end of 2016, approximately 211.7 million Americans (66% of the population) purchased or had access to dental insurance. The study aims to quantify the perceptions of both standalone dental insurers and health insurers regarding the probability, timing, drivers, and impact of health insurers more aggressively embedding dental benefits into their products.
