Seattle ranks 4th in PSBJ 2017 Best Workplace

West Monroe Partners, a progressive business and technology consultancy, today announced that it has been named one of Washington’s “2017 Best Workplaces” by Puget Sound Business Journal for the fourth year in a row.

The publication surveyed hundreds of nominated businesses in the region, ultimately honoring 80 finalists—20 each in four size categories: 10 to 49 full-time employees, 50 to 99 full-time employees, 100 to 249 full-time employees and more than 250 full-time employees in Washington state.

West Monroe’s Seattle office has more than 80 employees and serves more than 40 clients across the Pacific Northwest in key industries, including banking, insurance, healthcare, and retail. To meet continued strong growth projections, the firm plans significant local hiring, up to 25 consultants by the end of 2017.

“We are honored to once again be included among the region’s top employers as one of Washington’s Best Workplaces,” said Brian Paulen, senior director and head of the firm’s Seattle office. “A consulting firm’s most important assets are its people, and we’ve always made putting people first our priority. This award validates our investments in developing the next generation of leaders, which is critical for retaining our extraordinary people and helping them excel.”

Like all West Monroe offices, the Seattle practice maintains a highly participatory and collaborative culture marked by an open work environment, frequent employee meetings and gatherings, a strong commitment to serving the local community through its 1+1+1 social responsibility program, and regular recognition awards.

The company has rigorously maintained this culture as it has grown to a team of more than 850 consultants—in part by remaining 100-percent employee-owned. Its innovative human resources practices enable people at all levels contribute to the company’s direction, and through its December 2012 conversion to an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), to share in its results.

West Monroe’s Seattle office was previously a finalist in the Puget Sound Business Journal’s ranking of “Best Workplaces” in Washington in 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2016. In addition, it has received workplace accolades from Seattle Business magazine for the past seven years running.

Nationally, the firm has been listed as a top company to work for by Consulting Magazine, Vault Inc., and Great Place to Work® Institute and FORTUNE as one of the best workplaces in the United States. West Monroe Partners was also named by Great Place to Work as a top workplace for millennials in 2015 and as one of the 50 best workplaces for giving back in 2016 and 2017.

The publication celebrated all 2017 honorees at an event at Safeco Field on August 3, 2017.
