Engineered labor standards (ELS) have been used with great success in virtually every segment of the supply chain. Manufacturing, distribution, retail and delivery operations have used ELS to manage associates effectively. Most organizations fall short of maximizing their investment in standards by failing to leverage the information provided by standards fully and effectively limiting themselves to using standards only for labor management. This session explores how organizations should look at standards from an information system perspective and further capitalize on their investment in standards. The session will detail using standards to analyze different alternatives objectively. Standards will become a key component of your capital expenditure decision making and justification.
